...passed the wrong test?
ok..I know it's crazy..4am in the morning and I'm blogging. Not intending to sleep. COS duty on a Sunday is meant to be slept thru. :)
After the TP test failure.. I went back to camp only to learn that I'll have to clock 1000km of mileage on a jeep in Singapore before I can drive in Thailand.. as a result, the following 2 days (Thurs and Fri) were days for my orientation driving..then familiarisation test..which I passed. Bah. Wished I'd passed the damn Traffic Police test instead. *sigh*
Anyway, it was nice to still be able to drive on a public road. Unfortunately, it's a jeep..no windscreen, no canopy, no doors..nothing to protect me against the rain that hits you so hard like hail on Friday morning. :( Kinda scarey having to drive with 1 hand, with the other arm protecting the eyes from the rain (falling water + forward velocity = pain). Confidence driving eh? :P
Driving at 5am around a residential area is a rather interesting thing too. It's like seeing the country wake up.. schoolchildren waiting for buses with their parents... the working class citizens rushing for the MRT.. newspaper stands being set up, etc..with it everything ending once the sun rises. I hope to do it again.. maybe when I ORD. Heh.
Friday's farewell dinner to my 2 DYS2s was a rather short one. Didn't get to thank them personally. Now that they're gone.. and the new DYS2 being 'bway gan', it's the reign of terror under Staff Tsai(sigh). Picky, stingy, inconsiderate, somewhat unreasonable and foul-tempered when stressed. Looks like life in S2 won't be the same without my old DYs protecting us. :(
Reformatted the comuter. Just like my wife getting amnesia. And I feel nostalgic already. Kinda miss the old wallpaper, desktop, interface...more impt I believe some of my pictures taken and songs downloaded are gone too. Least this silly blog of mine has some pictures which I could still retreive.
Inc Friday..Yh's bday celebration.. inc next week.. outfield..field camp.. inc next month.. Cresendo. ARgh! chiong sua days are drawing near.
