Final hurdle..

Alright, it's the last 11 days to go after I book in later. Won't get to book out till 2nd Dec.. Probably the toughest week I'll have in my NS life. heh. Jit and Nigel are leaving next week for ROC and won't be back till the 16th. mm.. all the best to em too I guess.

My weekend seemed real short, probably due to the very long week ahead. Watched the Incredibles. Nice show, cute. And touched on some bit of family matters. Maybe my parents shd watch it too. -shrug-

Ok, off I go. I do hope I come back safe. ;p Christmas awaits.

Long weekend over...

okay.. the 3 days of training last week was kinda fun, probably because it was a short week and I had a long weekend to look forward too. Monday x-country navex was fun man. 2 convoys of jeeps moving out to different checkpoints. We just can't get lost! I mean, this is Singapore afterall, and I seem to know the places pretty well, from the east to the west. :P Thanks to my dad driving me around all these years I guess. haha. I also seem to have a thing with maps, for some reason, there's just an inate sense of direction in me which doesn't get me lost easily. Can't wait to start driving.. it was so cool to be on a jeep.

Nonetheless, everyday will be camo on since last week. :( Gross. Hate the waxy feeling on my face and my long 4 full of camo cream after the excercise. And my complexion is getting bad too. Bah. 2 more weeks of camo on to go. =
My weekend was enjoyable, even the guard duty, I must say. Not that it was FUN to burn a Sunday in camp, but Nee Soon's guard duty was really too slack compared to Jurong. PFft. Hai. Didn't accomplish much during the weekend, nv game much too. Bleh. Friday went to Sentosa for 30SCE unit anniversary, got close to 1 of the female host..touch touch somemore. eeck. Wonder why must the army spend money on such entertainment, make us look so.. ineducated. After that went to play pool with the rest of my platoon.. they aren't very good I must say. ;p
Saturday was our regular 'get-together' day. Went to Orchard, but no movies to watch (Hope to catch the Incredibles this week, if I get to book out), had dinner at Billy Bomber's. Their hamburgers were pretty good.

So, toda's the 15. 17 more days to go. For this week, every would be outfield surveys.. bridge, bridge site, demo. target and obstacle. hmm. I hope we get to book out this weekend, tho the stupid OI said we might get confined for more training.. that means 2.5 weeks cannot book out! :( *prays* Seems that before Xmas arrives, everyone's facing challenges ahead. I've my hell weeks to come, the cadets have their Taiwan trip, uni students having their exams, etc. Hope everyone'll pull thru fine and we'll all be able to have a wonder xmas ahead.

What a week.

Been a pretty fucked up week. Not only was it long but there were lotsa bad news for the month ahead. :(

To start off my lamenting..
Long.. due to the number of training events -
Goddamn navigation excercise was horrible on Monday. Not only did it rained, the distance we walked.. urrgh! Damn tiring.. and when we sat down for a break during the cool night, we could really see smoke from our bodies.. Kinda cool despite the physical torture.
6 man carrier boat on Thursday... piang.. Transit Gap water is just as dirty as before. All drenched with muddy water which crusted over our clothes. Thank goodness for the washing machine. Heh.. Our boots were totally soaked twice this week.
GPMG live firing on Friday. Fun, yeah. But short. Too few rounds for us.... just a short fire and all the rounds were expanded. The firing ended early, but bloody hell we booked out @ 9+pm on Friday. Thanks to the cleaning of arms, the delay of our lunch (Thank you, WSM), the stupid NKF checkup which was a scam for us to donate money.. when we're only paid $450. Pffft. And best of all, the stand by bed, area, bag ( and everything out from cupboard ) before we book out. :(

Bad News -
kena guard duty next Sunday. Like WTF?? Regimental guard duty on a weekend 3 consecutive months. Where's that shit where Weekend guard duties were supposed to be alternate months?? Damn it. 4 people selected, all from 30 SCE. None from 35? In which no one from 35 SCE ever did guard duties before, and the guys from 30 doing 3 already? Oh better yet. People who signed extra get to do their duties on WEEKDAYS.. while WEEKENDS are given to innocent guys like me? Where's the fking justice? God damn Wing SM. Wake up your idea! Like that, I won't mind signing extras if I don't have to burn my weekend and still get to skip training on weekdays! Whatdafuck.

Oh, better yet, I won't be going for the jeep course this December coz I am needed to do the model for NDP. Whee. It isn't the model that I mind doing, but the damn fact that I will spend the Xmas period in 30 SCE... which makes me elligible for MORE GUARD DUTIES. Damn it, if they give me a weekend guard duty during that period, I'm really gonna bring this matter up to higher authorities. My dogtag writes "CHR" - CHRISTIAN. Goddamn niggahs who don't understand this. I hate weekend guard duties.. I reallly do. And more so when I did nothing wrong and get forced to stay in camp.

25 more days to go.. basically 3 weeks left. Gonna be fast I think. This week will be short, book out on Wednesday...not sure if Friday is off. But damn Satuday night till Monday morning is burnt *thank you again, Guard duty, and all the assholes who signed extra*. Then the week after next will be outfield each day with survey.. and my last weekend before the hell week of 9 days. Nigel and Jit will be in Taiwan then, so I doubt I'll miss much during that weekend.
Running low on monday liao. Bank left with $x950.. and I'm trying to keep it at $(x+1)000. Haii. $50 in debt, and I haven't go YiEng's present.. Also dunno what she wants. Moreover, xmas coming soon and need to spend more. =\ Speaking of Xmas, Orchard lights are up.. well, for the roads at least.. Can feel the spirit of Xmas coming. Whee!

Oh well. Long day ahead tomorrow. 2 excericses in a row. Tho it's island wide.. meaning on jeep, but we still have to camo our face.. UrrgK! Hope to be back on Wednesday.
