So xmas is over..

So christmas is over now.. not a very memorable one tho, my parents were once again seperated during this occasion - dad going to his side's party and likewise for my mom. And poor ol' me had to run about Singapore thruout the day. *sigh* When will this crap end? Anyway, yeah, like the xmas-es before, it's been a lonely one too. And thanks to WoW, I've been rotting @ home playing instead of socialising more. heh.. but who cares, I think I've bothered my friends enough already.. like on the 24th with Quek, Grace, Jit and Yuan Hwa. We watched Kung Fu hustle(Lame yet funny, I guess sometimes it's just ok to be immersed in stupidity).. dinner at Grace's favourite Sakae Sushi.. haha, then proceeding onto Jit's house for Bailey's. woots. And on the 23rd, spending some time with YiEng, taking night photography.. something that doesn't usually happen. Heh, I'm glad the photos came out decent.. even with the ones that YiEng took on her digital camera (will post some later).

Yeah, so it's back to life.. the last few days of 2004 for me. Back to the Driving camp again. wah, stressful man. The theory can kill, but I think I'm still doing fine.. Die2u, Highway Situational Problems.. dunno what "Check safe, give way to, confirm clear, no pedestrians, beware of traffic dashing out..etc. Screwit. What's worse.. PARKING! Omg it look so easy but boy did I have a horrible time at it. My excuse? Driving with boots I guess. I just can't seem to get a good touch of the clutch that lets me reverse.. either stepping too hard or jamming it. Damn boots! Bah, if only the instructors were made to wear stupid heavy leather that locks their feet in place (meaning releasing a pedal would require the whole leg to be lifted up 90degrees instead of just lifting the foot) before they start yakking at us. :(

But I shdn't be complaining too much, it's stayout anyway, tho it's pretty tiring (oops? I did it again). It must be real hard on the peepz affected by the killer waves .. 60k dead already. Sigh, just after Christmas too. I guess nothing can be done to stop Mother Nature. But what I don't understand is that why a bloody earthquake.. NINE POINT ZERO on the Ritcher scale can't be detected and warning be given earlier? Some coursemate of mine said that it was because it was out in the ocean... but even so? I don't think that could be an excuse. Sumatra was hit first, and in Indonesia, a place so often having volcanos and tectonics movement, don't have a scale to record such stuffs? Whatever, let's give em the benefit of doubt.. no technology perhaps. So a damn tsunami strikes Sumatra due to an earthquake, and the next one hits Sri Lanka/India region 5 hrs later. Does it really take more than 5 hrs to access the damage and cause of it? And the possiblity of this tsunami travelling across the Indian ocean? Oh well.
My condolences to the victims of this catastrophe. :(

So, everyone's back now.. and I've been seeing so much of my best pals over the weekend.. On friday, @ Nigel's bbq..(Had a great time, tho Audrey gave me too much to drink... and pity Jit wasn't there).. and on Sat, we all met again in the morning to send Yx off.. and again in the afternoon for Ocean's Twelve at night. ah. what will I do w/out my friends.. Had quite and exciting Saturday, everything wasnt even planned as I was worried that there may be a recall. Lol, thank goodness there wasn't too. Guess maybe the SAF don't wish to waste a few hundred thousand calling reservists back during this festive season.

Speaking of which.. I guess my 19th Christmas would be one w/out romance..again, but I guess I can rely on my bucha friends to keep me company. l do envy Nigel and Quek as they have girlfriends who don't mind hanging out with the guys. I'd bet such girls are hard to find, heh. Always hearing about cases of someone having to balance his best pals and his girlfriend. Hopefully I can find someone like that... ah.. wth. I should be glad even if I can one.

Going back to camp now.. but booking out again tomorrow for my 1 month long jeep course that commences on Tuesday. I'm so glad I managed to complete my SOC.. damn it was really mental. Best battle I fought with myself. 9:50! But it's gonna haunt me again when I take it next yr.. how the heck can I clear it in 9:30. Anyway, since I'll be staying out.. I really hope to be able to spend more time with my family, and some friends I haven't been able to meet up with.. and of course play World of Warcraft..since Yx's gone and DAoC's pretty dead. :( Gotta get the damn game first tho. =

Wherefore art thou, my Juliet?

Very bored. Feel empty w/out Jit and Nigel around. Oh well, party @ nig's place this Friday, which means Saturday's outing to Orchard is cancelled. Pity. Was looking forward to another 'roaming-session'. Oh well, I guess we can save money. And drink the booze he bought from airport. ;D Hmm. Then again, maybe can go for a photography session on Saturday night. -shrug- Everyone seems busy and tied up with their own things..except for me. It doesn't seem like me leading my life.. ah. crap.

Playing lotsa games recently, but none of which lets me socialize. I miss those mmorpgs days.. Daoc is dying. World of warcraft seems promising, but I don't wanna play in the American server.. feel restricted, tho Yuan Hwa is there. Everquest 2 seems fun too, but no one playing. Hai. Well, all good things come to and end I suppose. It seems I've to bid farewell to daoc soon. :(

Maplestory - Played it last time when I was still in RTW, and abit with YiEng.. but I was always alone. =\ But Quek and his gf jioed me to play during this weekend and I'm now 18. Magician's claw seems fun. Bah, but end of the day, it's still a silly game.

Sims 2 - Taking control of us '5' under the same rood and pursuing different goals. Can be quite interesting to see 'Yuan Hwa' screw things up with females...and 'Nigel' ALWAYS screwing females. Haha. Single player tho -.- Gets lonely.

NFS U2 - Play so long liao.. still cannot get my Evo 8, WRX Sti and Skyline!! Wth?? So sick of the races, over and over again and I don't lose. Damn, I wanna finish this game soon.

ha. Booking in soon.. on a monday! Thanks to an MC.. SoC tomorrow. I hope I can pass...was close the other time. Missed by 17 sec. argh. But kinda sick still, lotsa phelgm and mucus. I wonder if I can breathe properly tomorrow. Argh. See how ba. Maybe I'll just skip it.. but that'll leave me with just ONE more chance to pass. >.<>

I survived Recce Training!!! (Engineer style :P)

Yessssssssssssssssssssss! It's all over! Mixed feelings about leaving Nee Soon camp tho. Once again, nothing lasts for ever and all those friendship forged with the guys from 35SCE and the 3SGs-to-be will break down. I hope that the specs that come to 30 SCE would be nice. ;)
So...now that the course is over, it's back to Jurong. Lotsa work to be done I heard... a huge huge model to do and push for by January, more NDP planning and stuff and those poor souls have SOC to clear in 2 weeks. Lucky I am excused.. or am I? hmm, hope the MO I see tomorrow does something right. The bunk and toilet is bloody flithy and we're gonna have a hell of a time cleaning it. =
Christmas is coming soon, yet suddenly I feel so lonely, no one to go out with, nothing to do.. bah. Think I am over dependant on these buncha close friends I have... *sigh* What would I do w/out em. argh. Want-to-buy more fun in my life & a happier family.
