1 year on...

Though there isn't any intention to return this blog to life, I shall make it an exception today to celebrate a blissful year spent with Esper.

The beginning was plagued by disagreements, clash of interest and a whole lot of uncertainty that only a delusional optimist or simply a fool to commit to the relationship. Being such a pragmatic, it was really uncharacteristically of me to not only get involved but persevere through.. but I'm glad I did. That glimmer of hope implying "let's just try our best to make things work" sure brought us far.

Studying at TMC, a trip to Austria, working temporary for a couple of months, moving on to Australia, living and studying in Melbourne, now returning to intern and experiencing life in the corporate world (with all the OTs)... We sure did quite a bit as a couple and I'm thankful it's been good so far.

Not sure what hurdles await us in the second year, but I'm confident we'll emerge from it as a couple with bonds stronger than before.

Happy 1 Year Anniversary, my *insert mushy adjective* girl!

1 down, an entire lifetime to go.

okaaay... 1st day at work

Finally found myself a job, and a rather relevant one too, as an accounts assistant at Philip Securities. As much as it may sound as if I am employed as a security guard, and despite the miserable salary, at least I will be getting some experience related to the degrees I'm pursuing. (...which I hope I am)

As of now, I'm pretty much stuck to this till the end of June, that means less WoW, supper and possibly less time for my gf too. It's so abrupt.. just yesterday I could game and laze around all I wanted, and today, I see myself sitting 9 hrs in an office everyday for a few months.

Just a day of work, and my free time seems so precious. The few hours at night which I'd usually game away just turned into invaluable leisure time. urgh... to think I will have 40 yrs of this in time to come. :(

The first sight out of our hotel - streets of Vienna.

The palace of Schronbrunn. Ugly outside, but beautiful inside. (kinda like me)

And this is their university/church...

The state gardens, and in the background is where daily Strauss/Mozard concerts are held.

The interior of one of the many churches visited.

Esper at the tallest building in Vienna - St Stephan's Cathedral.

Getting sun burnt at Axamers Lizum, one of the 7 ski resorts at Innsbruck.

All prepped and ready to ski~

The view from the hotel.

Fans of the Sound of Music will recognize that house in the background..

Food glorious food... the mouth watery Snitchzel (veal cutlet) from Vienna.

The "Snow White" castle of Neuschwanstein.

Overlooking Salzburg with Esper being cute.

The old town of Salzburg, at night.

Us, at the Mozard Dinner/Concert

Now that I'm back, I've been thinking...

...that just almost year ago, I was blogging about my London trip, stating how I wish I could be travelling with a girl that I'd fancy. Never would I expect to find myself in a 3 month relationship a year later, even having travelled to one of the most romantic countries for a fortnight. There're up and downs, but ultimately, I would say that apart from being a 'just another holiday', this trip has been played an integral part in strengthening my relationship.

Anyway, 4 destinations within 13 days puts one's stamina to the test. Hopping on and off trains, dragging our baggages across streets from hotels to hotels, and cramping sightseeing together with shopping... phew!

But it was well worth it, having seen the charming city of Vienna and its architectures, the snow-capped mountain ranges of Innsbruck together with a brief skiing stint, the tranquil old town of Salzburg famous for the Sound of Music and Mozard, and of course the dreamy Schwangau area and its castles. Not to mention, the weather was fantastic as well - I'd glady trade the warm and humid feeling over anytime, even at the cost of my lips cracking. :D

Oh well, here are some photos to share and it's back to finding a job.

wow wow wee wa

Hrm, almost 2 months since my last post. Guess I've really been neglecting my blog. Much has happened since then... the fret over my examinations, my examinations itself, the results, valentine's day, chinese new year, all of which I failed to keep a record of.

In any case, things are going pretty well now, apart from the fact that I am slacking around instead of getting a job. Results were better than expected, enjoyed a great Valentine's and just got a lil ang pao bonus too. :D Been WoWing quite a bit these days too but I guess that'll end pretty soon.

Flying off to Austria for a fortnight-long trip with Esper this coming Tuesday and will blog more when I return. This is gonna be interesting. heh
