10 days off as of now. tiring but good week!

Whee. After a seemingly never ending Sunday as COS, a run under the hot sun on monday.. followed by IPPT on Tuesday and a 6k run on Wednesday, I really needed a break. Thank god I was allowed to go for a recce today.. managed to skip today's Battalion PT. Anyway, Silver for IPPT + 5 days from NDP model + 1 day due to last yr's range = 10 days off as of now! Really feel the urge to take, but no one to go out with. Blah. Think I'll save it for a rainy day.. or month.

Friday the 13th didn't seem so bad.. a mix of fortunate and misfortunate events. Started off well with a Padang recce. Did my area sketch fast, with colour too. lol. Maybe because I did it so fast, that my recce ended only after 1 hr, resulting in Staff Tsai asking me to go all the way back to camp. bah. Was in 3quarts, had no uniform in camp as I took all out on Thursday night, possessed my mp3 player and camera too. Lucky I wasn't caught. Was rather pissed off initially as I was actually allowed to book out straight from there due to my FTT. But all was well, had work to do in camp. Scanned and edited my sketch so it could be presentable on computer. Proud of my work, tho there's still A LOT to learn about Adobe.
Coincidentally, Jit was at Stagmont too. So we managed to meet up for an early dinner before I went to the driving center. My journey to the center was a memorable one. Actually boarded the wrong bus from Eunos MRT that left me 3 streets away from the center itself. Bah, walked like nuts for almost 1.5km in 15 mins, only to reach there just in time.. in which the test started 20 mins later thanks to other latecomers. Anyway, test went pretty well, think I can pass..I hope Kinda lucky with minimal studying. ah, enough of my silly 'escapades' already.

Highlight of this looong week would actually be the fact that Kt replied to my SMS when I asked her if she'd wanted to play badminton. No idea what made me ask her.. and I thought she'd forgotten who I was already, and that she was happily in university, living a grown up and independant life, probably dating too. Heh. Anyway, I think I sorta screwed it up when I said maybe Jit or Yihui may be tagging along - Only to get another reply "Then you all go ahead, next time then we see how". Bah. I'd really need to learn how to be smooth and undertand how women think. sheesh. Oh well, I'll see.

Read about this ladder thingy where people put others of the opposite sex on an imaginary ladder. What I gather is that someone will always rate and compare another individual on his/her 'ladder'. And of course having preference or a desire for those at a higher position of the ladder, even tho if one is married or attached. To me, I conclude that it's rather impossible to truly find or meet someone who can actually sit at the top permanantly. I'd bet no one is ever perfect, and as one grows older, what one will look for will change too. It's quire impossible to satisfy the requirements for someone at the top, it's all a matter of compromising, and how demanding one can get. I'm glad I'm someone who is easily contented..or so I think. :
