..and so the long weekend is over.
Alright.. although it was pretty fast, but I did manage to catch up with quite a number of peepz from the sec sch days. Apart from the $10 I had to pay just to sleep in Orchard (KTV), Saturday was pretty fulfilling. Had lunch with my parents before my dad flew to Jap on Sunday, then caught up with Melinda, Pearlyn, Hochi, Weien..together with Quek and Yh. Seems like everyone is doing pretty well. Pearlyn's driving already, omg, and her life in SIM seems interesting. Melinda's fine.. as usual..in her academics, but is considering getting out of psychology due to certain reasons. WeiEn and Hochi would be enlisting soon.. so we all had a good chat giving em advice on surviving NS.
8 years already. Could see the difference in us. Maturity to a certain degree perhaps, judging by the topics of our conversation..like economy, demands of jobs, etc. Then again, we still poke fun at each other.. heh. Pearlyn's like always the butt of all the jokes that day. Blah.
Sunday.. Episode three! Woo. Was really good, I've to say. Enjoyed it, tho it was a sad story (was meant to be anyway). It was rather sad to see the main characters die. Anyway, the standard stuffs after that.. playing a bit of pool before going down to Nigel's house for dinner. Sad to say, he seems rather different nowadays. Preoccupied with some things, maybe his gf? -shrug- Many ppl from Army who know him dislike him too, saying he's arrogant yet slack.. not deserving of his officer rank. I dunno, perhaps I got numbed by him since jc. Or maybe he's getting worse. He's good with words and socializing tho, so I think he can stand his own when he steps into the working society.
And today.. 23rd March.. roughly marks my 1.5 yrs 'reunion' with KT. Tho it was just a little badminton game, I'm really appreciative of her presence. Dunno, always under the impression that she hated me after we lost contact 7 Dec 2003. Has been a long while since then.. and many months of living as if some vital organ has been removed from my body. Really glad to be able to go out together again.. me, Yi Eng, and Kt. Definately not gonna have expectations now. I ought to be long past that naive stage.. living in a dream. *Crowded House's 'Don't Dream It's Over' comes into play. lol* Would just love these 2 girls to live well, stay happy and remain friends, of course.
Infatuation aside now, about time I set my priorities right.
NUS rejected me again for the 2nd year running. Can't even get into FASS. Reality check man, Terry.
"1 more route out has just be cut. NTU would probably reject you too, and you're left with SIM, a place where any Tom Dick and Harry could get his degree. Don't make it to the very top and put a pull away from the rest, and your future is fucked." Yeah, I've got that msg, 'cept that there's nothing much I could really do about it. 372 more days till I am free, and damn will I want to unleash what I am really capable of doing in the real world.
